Made with Michoacán’s distinctive Cupreata (locally known as Chino). Strikes the right balance with a delicate herbaceous profile. 289 bottles released in this limited batch.
Ensamble 2021 Expression
100% Agave Cupreata, Inaequidens and SP (Espadincillo)
Distilled in 2021 from three regional agaves, this mezcal is filled with floral and vegetal notes. Only 582 bottles released in this limited batch.
What is Mezcal?
Mezcal is an agave-based spirit that uses ancient distillation methods.
Michoacán [MEE-CHO-AH-KAHN].
A culturally rich region and state located in west-central Mexico. Michoacán’s Mexican gastronomy has been designated as a World Cultural Treasure by the United Nations. The Michoacán agaves and processes used by Mocel give our mezcales unique floral and herbal notes.
400 Years of Artisanship.
Mocel crafts its mezcales the way mezcaleros have been distilling them for centuries. It’s time-honored and time-intensive.
Two Ingredients.
Mocel uses 100% agave and water. That’s it. Our production does not use additives to speed up the process. Through our distillation we seek to preserve the art of crafting the best artisanal mezcales.

Our Story
We are sisters, born and raised in rural Washington State and daughters of farmworker immigrants from Michoacán, Mexico, a region with a denomination of origin for mezcal.
Like you, we seek connection with people and the products we consume. At Mocel, we handcraft artisanal spirits that you will be proud to share with others.
