Every bottle of MOCEL is crafted using 400-year-old artisanal methods: agaves are roasted in earthen ovens, fermented in open-air wooden vats, and distilled in wooden stills unique to Michoacán. The result is mezcal that’s elegant, layered, and deeply rooted in history, a spirit that tells the story of where it comes from.

Award-Winning, and One of a Kind

Each release of MOCEL is a limited small batch, sometimes as few as a few hundred bottles. From the smoky, herbaceous Cupreata to the floral and complex Ensamble, every batch captures a single harvest, shaped by climate, soil, and the hands that made it. No two are ever the same. Once it’s gone, it’s gone.

MOCEL currently offers two distinctive expressions:

Cupreata – 100% Agave Cupreata, with a delicate herbaceous and mineral profile balanced by a touch of smoke.
Ensamble – An ensemble of Cupreata, Inaequidens, and Espadincillo agaves, ranging from 8 to 25 years to maturity, known for its bright floral and subtle sweetness.
