Every bottle of Mocel is crafted using 400-year-old artisanal methods: agaves are roasted in earthen ovens, fermented in open-air wooden vats, and distilled in wooden stills unique to Michoacán. The result is mezcal that’s elegant, layered, and deeply rooted in history, a spirit that tells the story of where it comes from.

Each release of Mocel is a limited small batch, sometimes as few as a few hundred bottles. From the smoky, herbaceous Cupreata to the floral and complex Ensamble, every batch captures a single harvest — shaped by climate, soil, and the hands that made it. Mocel currently offers two distinctive expressions: 

• Cupreata – 100% Agave Cupreata, with a delicate herbaceous and mineral profile balanced by a touch of smoke. 

• Ensamble – An ensemble of Cupreata, Inaequidens, and Espadincillo agaves, ranging from 8 to 25 years to maturity, known for its bright floral and subtle sweetness.
